Nurse: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Unit Overview:
The Post-Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit is a 27-bed unit with 7 private rooms and 10 semi-private rooms. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is located on the 8th floor of the C Building.
Patient Population:
The unit serves a diverse patient population, including males and females, ranging from young adults to geriatric patients. Patients are admitted with cardiac diagnoses or have undergone cardiac or thoracic surgery, requiring telemetry monitoring. The unit also cares for patients with other medical and surgical conditions.
Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current RN license, EPIC charting experience, and a strong understanding of cardiovascular nursing principles. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of your patients.
