Measurement Technician

Southwestern Energy is seeking a skilled Measurement Technician to join our Field Operations team in Tunkhannock, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and inspect gas sales/allocation meters and calibrate those meters within the division.
  • Work closely with measurement/field personnel to communicate the status of operations within assigned areas.
  • Responsible for analytical sampling, measurement, and telemetry equipment.
  • Monthly gathering system balancing review and variance troubleshooting of assigned field location.
  • Assist with equipment installation at new facilities as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electronic problems and assist production personnel to maintain facility operation.
  • Operate various types of gas testing equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • One to five years' experience in mechanical, technical, gas measurement, or field operations.
  • General instrumentation experience; basic knowledge of SCADA systems preferred.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, & Outlook).
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with Emerson ROC, Flow Automation, chromatography, and natural gas components.
  • Ability to perform job duties under minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:

This position involves outdoor work and may be subject to extreme weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and using fingers to handle or feel, climbing ladders and stairways, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, and ability to read a computer screen.
