Overview

Are you enthusiastic about engaging with innovative technology and keen to expand your knowledge of diesel-electric locomotives and passenger coaches? Comrise is on the lookout for a dedicated Service Technician to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will focus on the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of our advanced Charger locomotives and Venture single-level coaches. This practical position provides a unique opportunity to gain expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems while ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing commissioning and warranty assistance for locomotives and coaches
  • Diagnosing and analyzing equipment malfunctions
  • Executing electrical and mechanical repairs according to schematics and technical drawings
  • Employing laptop software for diagnosing and troubleshooting onboard systems
  • Determining root causes of failures and preparing comprehensive reports
  • Complying with company and industry safety regulations
  • Implementing field modifications to enhance product quality
  • Keeping precise records of repairs, part replacements, and field modifications
  • Communicating technical information and recommendations effectively within the team
  • Managing the return and repair process for defective components
  • Utilizing shop machinery and hand tools

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Valid driver's license in good standing

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with electrical or mechanical systems
  • Basic computer proficiency
