">Job Description
">Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU).Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to deliver physical and psychological support to patients and their families.Daily responsibilities include assessments, reassessments, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.Audit and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with healthcare team members.Required Skills and Qualifications
">Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, guests, physicians, and colleagues.Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire.Benefits
