Auto Body Repair Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team at Blue Bird Bus Sales in Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repair and restoration, with a focus on metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts.
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the JobThe Auto Body Repair Specialist will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition. This will involve using various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle body and how to use tools required for the trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repairing and restoring metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts of vehicles
- Using various tools to repair sections of a vehicle
- Mixing and applying filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible
- Realizing chassis and frames to repair structural damage and removing damaged sections of the vehicles and replacing with new or aftermarket parts
- Replacing or repairing glass and windshields as needed and also replacing or repairing interior parts as needed
- Inspecting vehicles after repaired to ensure all work has been executed correctly
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field
- At least 3 years of related experience
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- The ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and safety inspections
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs at times
