Position Summary:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Project & Estimating Manager to take charge of our commercial projects from the initial phase to final execution. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, including project oversight, cost estimation, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight

  • Oversee all phases of commercial projects from approval to final invoicing.
  • Establish project documentation with essential information and ensure contract review and execution.
  • Solicit bids from suppliers, procure materials and equipment, and assess proposals to align with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate work schedules, manage material deliveries, and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Monitor project expenditures, update teams, and deliver progress reports to project leaders.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements and ensure timely acquisition of materials and equipment.
  • Track labor and material usage, manage any alterations or additional tasks, and ensure precise billing.

Cost Estimation

  • Develop detailed scopes of work, qualifications, and exclusions for project estimates.
  • Gather and maintain accurate contact information and project specifics.
  • Create comprehensive cost estimates, including conceptual and progress budgets, along with unit production reports.
  • Review and document contract changes, historical cost data, and uphold estimating standards.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Engage in client presentations, pre-bid meetings, and site walkthroughs.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of estimating, material costs, building systems, and labor productivity assessment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimation software.
  • Experience with AIA billing, submittals, RFIs, and CORs.
  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to manage job costs and profit margins.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local building regulations.
