About the Role

Dignity Health is seeking a skilled Healthcare Screener to join our team. As a Healthcare Screener, you will play a vital role in providing age-appropriate screenings and flu shots to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, body composition, and hemoglobin checks.
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as data entry and site set-up, including setting up screening banners and workstations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and coworker information, adhering to HIPAA laws and safety precautions at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients, including those with varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant health screening experience.
  • MA, CNA, EMT, or a graduate of a vocational nursing school.
  • 2 years of experience in project coordination to act as Health Screener Lead.
  • Working knowledge of managed care basics and experience working with a managed care and Medicare population.
  • Computer literacy with keyboard skills, pleasant speaking voice, and demeanor.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Neat, professional appearance.
  • Ability to work at various locations.
  • HSD/GED.
  • Basic Life Support Cert (CPR).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical assistant experience.
