Job Title: Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Applus IDIADA. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting vehicle and component safety tests.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for safety testing, installing and verifying equipment, and operating diagnostic equipment. You will work closely with our test teams to ensure the safe and efficient execution of tests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicles for safety testing, including installing and verifying equipment.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Support test teams in the setup and execution of tests.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools, methods, and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and timing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including note logs, check sheets, and part inventory.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shop or mechanical environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; two-year technical degree or prior trade experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • High level of initiative and proactive approach.
