About the Role

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing homecare services to patients aged 65+ in the Queens area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' needs for speech therapy and develop effective treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality care and treatment to patients based on physician care plans, agency policies, and professional standards of care
  • Instruct family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working with adult populations, including voice, dysphagia, Parkinson's, Aphasia, and other degenerative neurological disorders
  • First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications
