We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Brooklyn Park, MN. As the Occupational Health Nurse, you will serve as a key player in driving health and wellness initiatives while partnering closely with the facility safety team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with EH&S and HR to develop and implement ongoing improvements that support an initiative-taking health and safety culture to improve the health and wellbeing of our team members.
  • Lead Caterpillar's wellness program and wellbeing initiatives, including monthly campaigns, health initiatives, and managing onsite health exams.
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services and strategy related to employee wellness, day-to-day medical clinic support, and illness and injury prevention initiatives.
  • Respond to on-site medical emergency response and lead on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT), including compliance and training.
  • Take a leadership role in crafting facility Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Receive and critically evaluate medical documentation to determine the need for medical leave and the appropriateness of both medical restrictions and accommodations.

Requirements:

  • This role requires a state of Minnesota Registered Nurse license and at least 3 years of experience in occupational medicine or acute care.
  • You will use your skills in phlebotomy and active CPR.
  • Knowledge of medical record management and demonstrated ability to document, manage, and maintain patient medical records following established processes and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in assessing and diagnosing patients and the ability to apply knowledge appropriately assess and diagnose patients in diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota medical and work comp laws and policies and regulations regarding the occupational safety and health of personnel working within an organization.
  • Knowledge of key business and clinical leadership concepts relevant to the healthcare function and ability to balance business needs with the needs of patients and patient care priorities.
  • Knowledge of policies and activities regarding nursing assessment and care and ability to assess patients' nursing care needs, develop and implement a nursing care plan, monitor progress, and adjust as necessary.
  • Knowledge of medical devices and tools and ability to use medical devices and tools to evaluate and treat patients.

The estimated salary range for this position is $ $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on location and experience. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
