Job Summary

Cogent Workforce Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Labor & Delivery setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care that is systematic, comprehensive, and accurate, demonstrating competent clinical skills.
  • Perform thorough assessments and provide individualized patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia.
  • Assume primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress toward meeting outcomes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, demonstrating knowledge of documentation guidelines.
  • Contribute to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care.
  • Evaluate Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and for potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.
Requirements
  • Competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric.
  • Ability to perform direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept.
  • Knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Consistent follow-up of the National Patient Safety Goals, including following Universal Protocol and identifying patients using two patient identifiers.
