Job Title: Industrial Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team at Rise Baking Company. As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment, including mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment, including wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Perform building maintenance and repairs, including air conditioning, lights, and forklifts.
  • Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A 2-year degree in electronics/maintenance mechanics or 3+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic role.
  • Experience with repair or preventive maintenance in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS, lockout/tagout programs, boiler operations, and ammonia, freon, or other cooling media.
  • Ability to stick or TIG weld small repairs.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts to identify solutions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
