Job Title: Meat Department Lead
We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Meat Department Lead to join our team at Sullivans Foods in Freeport, Illinois. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our meat department, ensuring high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and meeting sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Manage Inventory and Merchandising: Oversee inventory levels, manage stockroom organization, and maintain a visually appealing display of products.
- Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with other departments to drive sales and revenue growth through effective marketing strategies, promotions, and product offerings.
- Foster Excellent Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, respond to customer inquiries and concerns, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Previous Retail or Food Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or food service, preferably in a management or leadership role.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Knowledge of Meat Products and Operations: Familiarity with meat products, cutting techniques, and department operations is essential.
