Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team at Palomar Medical Center Escondido. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as needed
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to any abnormalities
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies
Requirements
  • Current California RN license
  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, OB Circulating, and OB PACU
  • Intermediate or advanced AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
  • AHA ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
  • Ability to work 3x12 shifts, starting at 7pm
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cerner EMR charting
  • Ability to float to other units, such as PP and Poway Campus
