Job Summary

The kitchen helper/dietary aide will assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided at all times. This role involves preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the cook in meal preparation and service
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays
  • Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions and being courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Specialized training in food service desirable
  • Current ServSafe certification required by State/County law
  • Food Handler's card required
