Casing Running Equipment Specialist

Job Overview
A Casing Running Equipment Specialist is tasked with the safe and proficient operation of casing running apparatus at various rig and field locations. This role also encompasses the maintenance and repair of company equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition and adheres to both manufacturer and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals and operations of Tubular Running Service (TRS) Manual Handling Equipment, Power Equipment, Bucking Units, and Thread Monitoring Systems relevant to the designated business segment.
2. Skillfully manage and operate casing running equipment, which includes casing running tools, power tongs, elevators, power slips, control panels, and hydraulic power units.
3. Utilize hand tools and operate hydraulically activated machinery effectively.
4. Assemble, operate, and disassemble various components on a drilling rig.
5. Maintain clear and professional communication with all rig personnel, customers, and Parker Wellbore staff.
6. Serve as a mentor for Service Technicians I.
7. Prepare necessary documentation such as delivery tickets, job reports, time-sheets, and other administrative forms.
8. Independently test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot company equipment and tools.
Safety and Compliance
Maintain a secure working environment by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), inspecting tools and equipment, keeping the workspace organized and free of hazards, and adhering to Parker Wellbore Life Saving Rules, along with location-specific and customer QHSSE Policies and Procedures.
Accountable for the safe operation of all Parker Wellbore equipment.
Quality Assurance
Ensure that the highest standards of workmanship are achieved in accordance with company expectations, as well as customer and regulatory standards and specifications.
Reporting and Improvement
Promptly report any hazards encountered on location, equipment issues, or deficiencies in existing controls to a supervisor. Make recommendations for the safe execution of tasks and report any unsafe actions, near misses, or incidents.
Participate in all customer and Parker Wellbore QHSSE meetings, safety training, equipment training, and medical evaluations as required.
Obtain necessary authorization and/or training before undertaking any tasks.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the integrated management system by suggesting safer and more efficient methods for task execution and improving policies and procedures.
When on standby, maintain communication with the Operations Supervisor to coordinate further actions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the TRS Lead or Field Service Supervisor.
