Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Biological Research Scientist to support method transfer and validation activities for our newest manufacturing facility. This role will support our growing monoclonal antibody and vaccine portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments supporting analytical method transfer.
  • Perform processes and operate equipment required for large-scale monoclonal antibody (mAb) production.
  • Test air and water samples and perform environmental monitoring.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Complete process documentation accurately to maintain high product quality.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with members of other departments.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of microbiology experience.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring and aseptic techniques.
  • Proficiency in microbiology laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of GMP practices.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations.
  • Strong biology and microbiological skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications:
    • BS in Biological Sciences or a related field.
    • Previous experience in large-scale or laboratory-scale production.
    • Experience with Vitek preferred.
    • Excellent documentation skills for recording research work and summarizing results.
    • Practical analytical experience with active pharmaceutical ingredients and related dosage forms.
    • Analytical problem-solving and method development experience.
    • Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical development process.

Work Environment:

You will work in a brand new facility in Georgia. While the plant is still under construction, the labs will be completed by January. You will support method transfer testing in the chemistry lab.

About this Opportunity:

This role offers an estimated salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
