This position offers an estimated salary of $85,000-$105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
About the Role:
As a highly skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for implementing the nursing process, documenting nursing activities and interventions, and administering medication. Key responsibilities include:
- Completing an age-appropriate assessment of patients upon arrival to the surgical suite
- Initiating the plan of care by proper preparation of patients for surgery
- Providing teaching and emotional support for surgical patients
- Assuring pre-procedure documentation and consent forms are complete
- Assisting with the preparation and care of patients during anesthesia
- Continually assessing and monitoring patients' conditions throughout endoscopic or pain management procedures
- Setting up equipment needed for procedures and cleaning and sterilizing all equipment post-procedure
Requirements:
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting
- 1 year of Endoscopy experience - preferred
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Business, or Healthcare Administration - preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Certification in Gastroenterology through the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses - preferred
