About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas Westlawn Hospital. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.
  • Set up and adjust equipment, manually maneuvering transducers to perform exams, and implement safety standards.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations, ensuring equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Sonography, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac or Vascular Sonography.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
