Job Title: Manager of Supply Chain

This role is responsible for providing a continuous flow of purchased and inventoried goods and services at an economic price and of optimum quality and quantity, in an effort to support the Cooperatives mission and sustained viability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct, coordinate, supervise, and add value to the Cooperatives purchasing processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with the Cooperatives Supply Chain Management Guidelines.
  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide training on the Materials Management/Purchasing module of the Cooperatives ERP system.
  • Hands-on purchasing activities including requests for quotes, requests for proposals, purchase orders, change orders, expediting, and resolving invoice and/or receiving discrepancies.
  • Plan, forecast, and budget for purchasing activities.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in the planning, forecasting, and budgeting of inventory activities.
  • Provide assistance in the Cooperatives scrap and salvage process.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships to obtain the fairest and most acceptable prices for goods and services with adherence to contractual terms and conditions.
  • Maintain professional relationships with key sources outside the Cooperative.
  • Provide assistance and guidance for the acquisition of goods and services to internal customers including research and source selection.
  • Provide monthly purchasing metrics for the Board report.
  • Represent the Cooperative on national and statewide organizations, as necessary.
Insurance Risk Management:
  • Manage the Cooperatives Property and Liability Insurance Risk Management program.
  • Submit policy renewal applications and supporting documents to broker or insurers.
  • Maintain annual insurance policy summaries for AEPCO and SSWC.
  • Answer internal insurance coverage questions.
  • Coordinate and schedule loss control meetings with broker and insurers.
  • Participate in the annual G&T insurance survey to obtain benchmarking metrics.
  • Provide monthly risk activities for the Board report.
  • Present a summary of the Insurance Risk Management program to the Boards Risk and Audit Committee, as required.
  • Manage the administration of Certificates of Insurance, the maintenance of updated vehicle records, and the filing of vehicle claims.
Compliance:
  • Manages changes and evidence related to NERC procedures and controls for delegated requirements.
  • Manages changes and evidence related to NERC RSAWs including the narrative and evidence of the compliance for delegated requirements.
  • Performs primary interviewee functions related to NERC compliance audits for delegated requirements.
Principal Challenges:
  • Ensure Cooperative-wide compliance with Supply Chain Management Guidelines, financial or regulatory mandates, and conformance with all applicable laws.
  • Negotiate the best possible price, quality, delivery, and technical support, in an effort to maintain the Cooperatives advantage in a regulated environment.
