About the Role

UF Health-Central Florida is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Unit team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery and recovering outpatients from phase 2 recovery to prep them for discharge to go home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Director/Manager/Charge Nurse, utilize the nursing process to facilitate patient care, making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulating care plans based on the diagnosis, and implementing and evaluating the plan of care.
  • Work in our Ambulatory Surgery Unit/Pre-Op Holding, preparing patients for surgery and recovering outpatients from phase 2 recovery to prep them for discharge to go home.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure quality and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours and weekends for urgent/emergent cases.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • 1 year of Medical/Surgical or Critical Care experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
