Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance duties, including replacing valves and pumps, motors, and gear reducers.
  • Experience with equipment packaging equipment, such as labelers, rotary and in-line filler, in-line cappers, jet printers, cartoner's, bundlers, sleevers, heat tunnels, and case sealers.
  • Disassemble and assemble electric motors, pumps, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair machinery and conveyor belts.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge and perform miscellaneous duties as required for plant maintenance.
  • Basic machinist experience using lathe and mill is a plus.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • In-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes.
  • Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
  • Knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
  • Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
  • Willing to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergencies.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not mandatory.
