Sales Associate for Retail Operations

YOUR ROLE

As a key player in our retail environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving individual performance to consistently meet or surpass sales targets, KPIs, and profitability objectives through exceptional customer service.
  • Delivering a high standard of customer experience in alignment with PUMA's Brand Values and service expectations.
  • Completing all required training programs, both domestic and global, to enhance store performance.
  • Engaging in Loss Prevention education and training to maintain awareness and compliance.
  • Ensuring adherence to Loss Prevention and operational standards within the store.
  • Communicating merchandise opportunities effectively to the Store Management team.
  • Participating in new store openings and closures, which may require travel.
  • Accurately processing sales transactions at the cash register, operating the POS system with precision, and ensuring proper application of discounts.
  • Managing the execution and processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Maintaining visual merchandising standards to ensure the store's presentation aligns with PUMA's guidelines.
  • Keeping the physical condition of the store in line with relevant standards and promptly reporting maintenance needs to management.
  • Complying with all company policies, procedures, and operational competencies.
  • Upholding a safe and compliant shopping and working environment, reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Working flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with potential overtime required.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-focused retail setting, preferably in apparel or footwear, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals, preferably in a commission-based role, with strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
  • The physical capability to walk and move throughout the store, including frequent standing, reaching, bending, and lifting items up to 30 pounds.
  • Experience using ladders and maintaining organization and cleanliness in both sales and stock areas.
  • Critical sensory skills, including speaking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Strong cognitive abilities for reading comprehension, basic math, writing, and problem-solving.
  • A competitive base pay range of $15.00-$18.00 per hour, plus benefits, which may vary based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
