Core Responsibilities:
As a Senior Program Management Lead, you will be pivotal in orchestrating multiple Kafka initiatives across diverse teams and stakeholder functions, including Product and Security. Your role will involve:
- Monitoring interdependencies with various organizations.
- Facilitating planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Overseeing operations and trade-offs to ensure project success.
This position requires a strategic perspective, particularly for managing extensive, multi-quarter projects aimed at enhancing cost margins and security protocols.
Key Duties:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to propel critical initiatives that span the organization.
- Ensure timely project delivery while consistently updating key stakeholders on progress.
- Proactively identify and mitigate obstacles impacting project timelines.
- Mentor and guide other leaders in effective program management practices.
- Make informed technical decisions to maintain project momentum.
- Articulate technical architecture and decisions to both engineering and non-technical teams.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to streamline project schedules.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to drive decision-making on schedule adjustments and project delivery.
- Engage with various engineering and product stakeholders to ensure end-to-end execution, recognizing potential risks and prioritization conflicts.
- Assist the Kafka team in understanding the priorities of interdependent teams to unblock their project needs.
Qualifications:
- Robust technical acumen, particularly in cloud networking fundamentals.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, managing complex projects across organizations.
- Experience in leading cloud platform engineering projects is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in driving operations across teams.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including JIRA reporting and sprint planning, is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
