About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Professional who can teach clients how to effectively use personal care attendants and assist them in managing their daily needs.

Job Description: This professional will educate and train people with disabilities on successful techniques to perform independent living tasks and encourage strong development of job skills that promote greater autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise students and adults in meeting personal needs such as self-advocacy, self-determination, and task completion
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuous learning in the field of adult day care, supporting diverse cultural values and age groups
  • Identify long-term goals for individual student success
  • Promote high standards of behavior among students and associates while modeling these same standards throughout work assignments

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in one of the following fields is desired: special education, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling or a related field
  • 2 years of direct experience in employment settings working directly with young adults, 3 years minimum overall experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills with flexibility to meet deadlines

Salary Information:

Base salary $20.00 an hour. Benefits and compensation package includes medical insurance, paid time off, mileage reimbursement, and retirement plan options.
