Lumber Handler

United Talent Staffing is seeking a skilled Lumber Puller to work in the Uniontown, PA area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently pulling lumber boards off the lumber pulling chain and placing them in designated racking according to specifications.

• Pull lumber boards off the lumber pulling chain and place them in designated racking
• Climb over and under equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas
• Perform general clean-up tasks throughout the facility
• Complete additional work-related tasks as directed by mill management
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
• Provide support to other sawmill workers and operators as required
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 75lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a noisy and dusty environment
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to pass a drug and background screening
• Steel toe boots required

• $16.56 per hour
• 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6am-3:30pm and 4+ hours on Friday
