About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer or Distributed Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will focus on building Kora's highly available, reliable, secure, scalable, and multi-tenant compute layer. You will drive performance tuning and optimization for the Kora Compute Platform and related products, identifying performance bottlenecks, creating performance testing strategies, and working with engineering teams to improve system performance.
You will also lead technical solutions end-to-end, collaborating with the team and stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy high-quality solutions. This includes developing strategies to optimize Kafka performance for scalability, resilience, and high availability aligned with organizational goals, conducting analysis and tuning of our confluent Kafka offerings to meet the performance requirements under various loads, building tools to measure key performance metrics, providing insights into efficiency and resource utilization, establishing monitoring systems for metrics, proactively identifying and resolving performance issues in production, and leading and mentoring performance engineers, offering guidance and support to ensure platform efficiency across deployments.
