Telecommunications Supervisor at Abacus Technology Corporation

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Telecommunications Supervisor to oversee the telecommunications infrastructure for our operations. This is a full-time position that involves leading a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct a group of technicians in executing telecommunications support initiatives and maintenance activities.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot CAT 5/6 cabling in compliance with national standards and Department of Defense guidelines.
• Conduct installations adhering to contractual obligations and industry standards.
• Manage premise components including conduits, raceways, outlets, patch panels, and cabinets.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Fiber optic cabling, including testing and termination processes.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cable vaults and sump pumps.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all copper radio and analog circuits, ensuring proper routing to the telephony VoIP server.
• Maintain accurate cable records in database systems.
• Utilize ticketing systems for effective management of work orders and incident reports.
• Provide Public Address (PA) system support for events, including equipment setup and dismantling.
• Participate in meetings and assist with administrative tasks and deliverables as required.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and resolution of incidents in line with contractual standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in the installation of telephone systems and cable plant support in a leadership capacity. High School diploma or GED is required. OSHA Confined Space and BICSI certifications are mandatory. Familiarity with GPS and ground location tools is essential. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI, and TIA standards is expected. Proficiency in the MS Office suite is necessary. Candidates must be self-driven, customer-focused, and capable of working in confined spaces. A valid driver's license and current Secret clearance are required.

Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
