As a Courier/Driver at FedEx, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. You will also be responsible for checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and providing related customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Deliver and pick-up packages in a timely manner
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Provide related customer service functions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of courier experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Working Conditions
- Neat appearance since customer contact is required
- Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
