As a Bartender, you will report directly to the Catering Supervisor and be responsible for preparing and serving drinks to patrons in a welcoming and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with local, state, and federal liquor laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to underage and intoxicated customers.
- Set up designated bar areas; order and stock all necessary supplies including beer, wine, spirits, and related items.
- Maintain inventory, prepare, and store all fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure quality standards.
- Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Process drink orders; mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to standard recipes while practicing portion control.
- Verify guest identification at the bar.
- Recognize signs of guest intoxication and respond appropriately, demonstrating knowledge of liquor regulations.
- Handle cash transactions, provide change, verify charges, and ensure proper documentation of sales.
- Secure all beverage products, food items, and cash; maintain a secure environment.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; keep work areas tidy and organized.
- Arrange bottles and glassware to create an appealing bar presentation.
- Wash and sanitize glassware as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in high-end event service.
- Understanding of five-star service standards.
- Exhibit sound judgment and professionalism throughout events.
- Ability to adhere to established processes.
- Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
