Job Description

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:

Maintenance and Operations

Develop and execute maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all machinery and equipment are in top working condition.

Collaborate with production managers to plan and carry out maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to production schedules.

Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to detect and resolve issues before they become major problems.

Leadership and Training

Lead and train the maintenance team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Supervise the installation, repair, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and systems.

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.

Requirements

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will have:

  • Over 5 years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally within a chemical plant.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
