Position Overview:

The Chief of Respiratory Care Operations at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital is tasked with the leadership and management of the Respiratory Care Department alongside the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. This pivotal role encompasses strategic oversight, personnel development, financial stewardship, quality assurance, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. The Chief works in conjunction with the Medical Director of Respiratory Care to uphold exemplary patient care standards. Additional responsibilities include overseeing various clinical domains as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive significant projects and initiatives to fulfill departmental goals
  • Foster the growth and management of team members
  • Ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
  • Establish strategic partnerships within the healthcare organization
  • Facilitate change management and inspire team engagement

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of six years in a leadership capacity

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT)
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (TMB-RCP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
