Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drill Rig Operator and Locator to join our team at MasTec Utility Services. As a Horizontal Directional Drilling expert, you will operate horizontal/directional drill rigs, locate equipment, and provide product support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare jobs for safe execution.
  • Pothole utilities and verify existing ones.
  • Develop plans for overcoming obstacles.
  • Locate the drill head and pull back the product.
  • Hook up swivel, reamer, and pipe products.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A valid CDL Class A driver's license.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
Work Environment and Compensation

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various weather conditions. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have good hand-eye coordination. We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
