Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum for nursing courses, ensuring alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Provide instruction, assessment, and evaluation of student learning outcomes in clinical and simulation laboratory settings.
- Collaborate with department chairs, faculty, and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge and skills in nursing education and practice, including evidence-based practices and technology-based instruction.
- Meet and maintain faculty requirements, including licensure, certification, and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Current unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years.
- Acute-care medical surgical nursing experience.
- Ongoing demonstration of evidence of clinical competence in the area of clinical instruction.
- Ability to demonstrate teaching skills in the clinical and/or simulation lab area, including the use of interactive and varied pedagogical strategies.
- Commitment to support underrepresented students in nursing.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
The Adjunct Faculty member will work in a variety of learning environments, including face-to-face on campus, in community practice areas, and simulation and virtual learning environments. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate positive interpersonal relations, communication, and collaboration with the administration, other faculty, and healthcare members.
