As a key member of our team at ICON Consultants, LP, the Gas Operations Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient management of gas service operations. This position involves coordinating various activities related to gas distribution and maintenance, with a focus on optimizing workflow and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the scheduling and dispatching of multiple crews using advanced software tools.
- Utilize mapping resources and direct communication with technicians to effectively address leak complaints.
- Obtain necessary permits and manage compliance notifications related to construction activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly productivity reports, highlighting key metrics such as order counts and compliance statuses.
- Monitor daily workloads of gas service personnel and adjust assignments as needed to ensure efficiency.
- Coordinate traffic control measures for job sites, including the arrangement of barricades and officers.
- Respond promptly to emergency leak situations by dispatching appropriate crews and managing communication regarding work status.
- Facilitate the creation and cancellation of work orders as required by supervisory staff.
- Request utility locates for construction projects and manage scheduling for specialized tasks such as welding.
- Process timesheets and verify operational data within internal systems.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of construction work orders.
- Interpret and plot gas maps to support operational planning.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in construction or utility operations, with proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
