Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including respiratory insufficiencies.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, including the use of advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory health and provide information about community resources and support groups.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 6 months of hire date.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care prior to hire date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
