Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Ammonia Refrigeration to join our team at GA Foods Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ammonia refrigeration systems and general industrial maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including relays, circuit breakers, motors, and circuit board repair.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize packaging line productivity.
  • Perform routine readings and recordings, and maintain CMMS and order parts/inventory/recordkeeping as required.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in inspecting completed repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Work with low and high voltages, including 24 control, single-phase, and three-phase voltage.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in general & preventative maintenance and repair of industrial production equipment or other operating equipment.
  • 3-5+ years of experience working directly with ammonia refrigeration equipment.
  • Prior experience opening an ammonia system required.
  • Knowledge of glycol systems, HVAC controls, and pneumatics.
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Preferred Certifications
  • RETA certification.
  • Hazmat certification.
  • Valid FL Driver's License preferred.
