Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs, including speech, language, and communication goals.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals and provide regular progress updates.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and therapy sessions, including progress monitoring and goal setting.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Indiana State License in Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Experience: Experience working in a school setting preferred, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
