Aircraft Assembler Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Assembler to join our team at Kratos Defense. As an Aircraft Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting together parts to form subassemblies and complete units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Follow FOD and ESD practices
  • Interpret and follow manufacturing orders
  • Operate shop-related machinery, including torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and common hand tools
  • Support a zero-defects approach and right-the-first-time mentality
  • Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications
  • May work from verbal instructions
  • Comply with established safety directives
  • Maintain a clean work area and adhere to 5S Standards
  • Comply with QMS procedures
Requirements:
  • Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
  • Able to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Able to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
  • Able to adhere to workplace rules
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aircraft Assembler I: 2 years of hands-on experience in assembly production
  • Aircraft Assembler II: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Aircraft Assembler III: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working from slightly elevated surfaces on a regular basis
  • Manipulating materials, primarily using hands and arms
  • Use of various hand tools
  • Occasionally lifts and carries heavy objects
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • May work extended hours and/or weekends
  • Possibility of exposure to noise and hazardous chemicals
Travel Requirements:
  • 0-5% - May be required between KUAS locations
