As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying complex mechanical hardware, including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical hardware.

 

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

This compensation reflects the importance of this role in driving business success and growth. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as experience, geographic location, and performance.

 

Job Description:

The selected candidate will work with limited supervision in various high-consequence program activities, including presenting to internal and external stakeholders, generating technical data packages, and participating in design reviews. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing complex mechanical hardware, including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical hardware
  • Presenting to internal and external stakeholders, including customer representatives
  • Generating Technical Data Package components, such as Part and Assembly drawings
  • Prototyping, integrating, and testing component parts and assemblies
  • Developing test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems
  • Performing test and evaluation of component parts and systems
  • Participating in peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews
  • Implementing changes and participating in product change review meetings and discussions
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary design teams and reviews
  • Adhering to company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc.
  • Leading designers/technicians as part of a design team
  • Supporting field testing/demonstration efforts as an ME field representative

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance
  • 2+ years experience developing complex mechanical hardware, including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical hardware
  • Understanding and utilization of ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Skilled at use of design tools, such as ProEngineer, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with FEA (Ansys & NATRAN is a plus)
  • Comfortable with PLM software
