Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Patient Care Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Monitoring cardiac activity and ensuring patient safety.
- Utilizing basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
- Exhibiting excellent phone etiquette while interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrating proficiency in spelling and communication in English.
- Operating facsimile and duplicating equipment as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of Basic Dysrhythmias courses within three months of employment is essential. Knowledge of Medical Terminology is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: BLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Work EnvironmentEmployees will be expected to adhere to safety protocols, utilizing protective equipment when exposed to potential hazards. The hospital will provide necessary cleaning, repair, and replacement of this equipment.
Physical DemandsThis position primarily involves sitting for extended periods, with regular changes in posture required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist in transporting patients weighing over 200 pounds. The ability to concentrate amidst multiple conversations is essential.
