Position Overview: Escrow Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Escrow Transactions: Manage the initiation, processing, and conclusion of escrow accounts related to real estate dealings.
  • Document Preparation and Review: Create and evaluate escrow instructions, HUD-1 Settlement Statements, Closing Disclosures, title commitments, and other essential paperwork.
  • Closing Coordination: Organize and facilitate the closing process, ensuring all parties are updated and all conditions are satisfied.
  • Fund Management: Confirm receipt of funds, handle disbursement after closing, and ensure precise payments to all involved parties.
  • Title Search Execution: Conduct title searches to identify and address any potential issues.
  • Compliance Assurance: Uphold adherence to all regulations, including TRID, and industry standards.
  • Dispute Resolution: Mediate conflicts among parties to ensure successful transaction closures.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain effective communication with clients, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep organized documentation of all transactions and related paperwork.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Understanding of escrow procedures, HUD-1 Settlement Statements, and title insurance.
  • Familiarity with TRID regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in escrow software and related tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to manage multiple transactions in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and dispute resolution skills.
