Phlebotomist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Actalent. As a Phlebotomist II, you will play a critical role in assisting with various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.

• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explain the process of venipuncture blood drawing and/or other specimen collections.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperatures.

This is a fully on-site position with Dearborn, Michigan being the home base. Must be willing to travel or "float" to multiple locations across metro Detroit.

Mileage expensed beyond commute to Dearborn.
