Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Risk Manager to join our team at Talent Equity Group, based in the Harrison, NY area.
The Risk Manager will work collaboratively with Clinical Risk Management to coordinate activities related to collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support system-wide risk reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
This role serves as a resource and consultant to the clinical risk department and corporate leaders, with a proactive approach to system-wide risk identification, investigation, mitigation, and risk reduction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with departments to identify and assess unusual incidents, unexpected outcomes, and potential risks, translating learnings into loss prevention strategies.
- Use risk goals and risk performance to promote standardization and reduce errors, achieving organizational quality.
- Demonstrate sound decision making to enable system improvements.
- Maintain risk management statistics and files in compliance with state and federal agencies, staying abreast of current and future regulatory requirements.
- Summarize changes and collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders in the design/redesign of processes to support such requirements.
- Provide business analysis of risk data to reduce operating losses and maintain maximum protection of the organization's assets.
- Develop tools to assist with various risk management processes, including identification and analysis of incident and loss information.
- Assist with data extraction and use report writing software to group data appropriately for meaningful report development.
- Analyze patterns and variances to identify opportunities for system-wide risk reduction.
- Develop proactive system-wide risk reduction/performance improvement action plans, assist with implementation, and evaluate results for desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders to develop plans to affect change in risk performance and outcomes.
- Report outcomes to the CEO, CAO, and other Leaders as applicable.
- Provide risk-related support to Somnia's departments by performing analysis to identify event trends and develop plans and processes to reduce harm and improve incident outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare-related field preferred.
- At least four (4) years of experience required in one or more of the following fields: risk management, compliance management, healthcare administration, business administration, or legal support.
- Experience in trend analysis and report generation.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, leadership, and clients. Excellent organizational, listening, tracking, and documentation skills.
- Experience within anesthesia is always welcomed.
