Position Summary
Yale New Haven Health is in search of dedicated Nocturnal Hospitalists to join our esteemed medical team.
The Nocturnal Hospitalists will be responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services in internal medicine to adult inpatients. This includes managing patient admissions, providing cross-coverage, and facilitating discharges. Additionally, the role involves liaising with patients' Primary Care physicians regarding in-hospital care and follow-up treatment, as well as offering hospital diagnoses and prescribing new treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to adult inpatients during night shifts.
- Collaborate with Primary Care physicians for optimal patient management.
- Assume the role of Attending Physician during select weekend day shifts.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree (foreign equivalents are acceptable), hold a valid physician license in Connecticut prior to the start of employment, have completed an Internal Medicine residency program, and be board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine.
