We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at Bon Secours. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' clinical conditions and develop individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with state and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Act as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety and well-being throughout the hospital stay.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact state.
- 1 year of experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training.
- Critical Care Course completion.
- Advanced certifications, such as CCRN, PCCN, or NIH Stroke Certification.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. You may also be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights, as well as limited hazardous substances or body fluids.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires manual dexterity, the ability to perform shift work, and the capacity to maneuver the weight of patients. You must also be able to hear alarms, telephone, and audio recordings, and reach above shoulder level. You will be required to perform repetitive arm and hand movements, and use your fingers to manipulate objects. You must also have color vision, acuity in both far and near vision, and depth perception.
