We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Perioperative Registered Nurse in the PreOp PACU department at SCA Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities- Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and comfort, including pain management and wound care.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provide education to patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current state license to practice.
- One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing, with a focus on medical-surgical nursing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with PALS certification required for pediatric care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
