Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Kings County Hospital Center. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound scans and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound scans with a high level of theoretical, practical, and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients and clinicians.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff in a friendly, clear, and helpful manner.
  • Accurately assess, implement, and document examination findings on the applicable worksheet.
  • Responsible for recording personally generated information and ensuring that post-procedure instructions are provided to patients.
  • Safe use of expensive ultrasound equipment and supervision of specialist equipment used by junior staff/students.
  • Identify medical consumable stock that requires ordering and perform basic quality assurance/checks on equipment.
  • Effective communication with orderlies, clerical staff, clinicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients at all times.
Requirements
  • BSc in Diagnostic Imaging or Dip in Medical Ultrasound.
  • One year experience in Ultrasound/Sonographer in a facility required.
  • AHA BLS required.
