Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Mobile Med Work Health Solutions. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services by conducting radiographic procedures to aid in the accurate diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
  • Prepare patients for the healthcare visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce images of a patient's tissues, organs, bones, and vessels for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the medical provider.
  • Prepare patient for radiologic procedures, answers technical questions, and offers pre-procedure advice.
  • Ensure patient care, comfort, and safety, following established radiologic requirements and regulations.
  • Calibrate and maintain radiology equipment.
  • Support patient care delivery by helping healthcare providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; drawing blood; preparing patients for x-rays; taking electrocardiograms; removing sutures; changing dressings.
  • Conduct occupational health tests, including Audiometry, Spirometry, and fit testing.
  • Assist providers with workers' compensation injuries, administer first aid, and conduct drug screening and alcohol collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collections.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating services with other healthcare providers.
  • Track and complete referrals in coordination with adjusters and outside vendors.
  • Communicate test results to patients and healthcare providers as directed.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and proper storage of PHI.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Coordinate clinic logistics and equipment setup and breakdown at various work sites; travel to different work sites as required.
Requirements
  • California Limited X-ray Permit or Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • Certification as a radiologic technologist by the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/AED Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • Prior experience in an occupational health setting preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records.
  • Current driver license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
