Dialysis Clinical Technician Float Pool Position

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a skilled Dialysis Clinical Technician to join our team. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the assessment and direct care of patients on hemodialysis.
Key Responsibilities- Administer normal saline solution via the extracorporeal system.
- Administer per initiation of hemodialysis procedure 2% xylocaine subcutaneously.
- Administer via the extracorporeal system and/or via the cannulated access site the anticoagulant heparin in the dose prescribed by the physician and monitored by the nursing staff.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Nursing Assistant (NA), Medical Assistant (MA), or other healthcare experience preferred.
- Must successfully complete the Greenfield Health Systems dialysis training program, as a condition of continued employment.
As a condition of continued employment, certification as a dialysis technician must be obtained (and maintained) within designated timeline of 18 months, in accordance with federal regulation.
